This package is made of:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>a directive on public procurement (replacing Directive 2004\/18\/EC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>a directive on procurement by entities operating in the water, energy, transport and postal services sectors (replacing Directive 2004\/17\/CE)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>a directive on the award of concession agreements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This legislative review is an overhaul of the public procurement legislation from the Member States.\u00a0The main improvements are related to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>strategic use of public procurement policies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>enabling access for small businesses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>simplification of the award procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>elimination of corruption<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>equal application of European law in this field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New legislative package was adopted on 11.02.2014 regarding the modernization of public procurement in the European Union.
